WREC and the Climate Action Accelerator are organising a round table discussion on how to develop a more strategic and collective approach to effectively reducing emissions from humanitarian supply chains.
Since the supply chain systematically accounts for between 40 and 60% of the greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions of humanitarian actors, reducing supply chain emissions is a major lever for reducing emissions. However, this is a complex task that requires the use of a range of solutions, from adjusting technical specifications to improving work processes (demand planning, stock management, etc.), as well as redirecting demand towards affordable, sustainable and low-carbon alternative products, particularly for key items.
The event will be divided into two parts:
Date: 1 December, from 10:00 to 11:30, UTC+4 (local time in Dubai)
Lieu : Pavillon des femmes, Zone verte, Expo City Dubai
