The Joint Initiative is conducting a consultation to gather feedback from humanitarian organizations on a donor-led effort to develop, adopt, and operationalize a set of common “principles” for greening humanitarian assistance, which would apply to humanitarian organizations. Examples include the phasing out of single-use plastics or diesel generators in humanitarian action. These draft principles were presented to organizations on 9th October, and initial reactions and feedback were collected.
