The REH Environmental Assessments Working Group has developed the MERA (Multi-sectoral Environmental Risks Analysis) matrix to help humanitarian and development project developers and technical advisers to become aware of the environmental risks that the projects they are developing may entail, and to rapidly formulate recommendations to mitigate these risks. The matrix provides a non-exhaustive database of mitigation measures for each environmental risk associated with activities in the Food Security & Livelihoods, Water, Sanitation & Hygiene, Shelter and Mental Health and Psychosocial Support sectors. The matrix is available on the REH website in English, French and Spanish.
The working group invites you to the Spanish-language launch event for the first version of the matrix on January 15th at 4pm CET!
This event will present how MERA can be used, how it has been developed and will include a Q&A session. For more information, please contact the working group by e-mail at evalenv@environnementhumanitaire.org.
This matrix was co-funded by the European Union Humanitarian Aid.
