Launch event FR – Multi-sectoral environmental risks analysis and mitigation measures (MERA) matrix, REH Environmental Assessments WG, 12/12/2024

The REH Environmental Assessments Working Group has developed the MERA (Multi-sectoral Environmental Risks Analysis) matrix to help humanitarian and development project developers and technical advisers to become aware of the environmental risks that the projects they are developing may entail, and to rapidly formulate recommendations to mitigate these risks. The matrix provides a non-exhaustive database of mitigation measures for each environmental risk associated with activities in the Food Security & Livelihoods, Water, Sanitation & Hygiene, Shelter and Mental Health and Psychosocial Support sectors. The matrix is available on the REH website in English, French and Spanish.

The working group invited you to the event to launch the first version of the matrix in French on 12 December at 3pm CET!

This event presented how MERA can be used, how it has been developed and will include a Q&A session. For more information, you can contact the working group by e-mail at evalenv@environnementhumanitaire.org.

This matrix was co-funded by the European Union Humanitarian Aid

Member organisations of the WG: Action Contre la Faim France, ACTED, French Red Cross, Fondation Terre des Hommes, Groupe URD, Netherlands Red Cross, Première Urgence Internationale, Solidarités International.
