The “Develop a Business Case for a Transport Booking System” report was created by the ICRC and Red Cross National Societies as part of their pilot project for a new transport booking system. The system, developed with the help of field teams in Colombia and Costa Rica, aims to streamline vehicle sharing and improve operational efficiency. It offers real-time vehicle availability and automated notifications, simplifying the booking process and improving coordination. In addition, it incorporates sustainability measures such as route sharing and efficient route planning to minimize environmental impact and CO2 emissions. The pilot phase will gather feedback from users to refine the system before its wider implementation.
