Noting the disparate efforts across the sector in terms of mitigation and adaptation of humanitarian programmes to the climate and environmental crisis, InterAction highlights a case study on collaborative environmental management in Cox’s Bazar, which can be found in the attached report. Many research participants stressed that while individual sectoral efforts are important, it is imperative to adopt a system-wide approach to avoid adaptation errors. In support of this global approach, organisations are beginning to understand the importance of collaborative environmental management. This report rejects the idea of a single solution to environmental challenges, recognising the inherent specificity of the context of environmental and climate impacts.
