Environmental Footprint of humanitarian assistance for DG ECHO, May 2020

Published on 13 May 2020

The objective of this review is to take stock of DG ECHO’s policy and practices on this topic, and identify areas for progress.

It maps existing environmental mainstreaming initiatives in the humanitarian sector (DG ECHO, other donors) and existing practical tools used by the humanitarian community. DG ECHO will use it as evidence to establish how it can support its partners in the complex endeavour of reducing their environmental footprint.
